The most important rule concerning signatures is this:
Signatures should NOT annoy people, and moderators always have the right to remove them. In addition to this, some more specific rules: Signatures must be no more than 150 pixels high and 550 pixels wide (see image below). All general rules apply to signatures, not just posts. No offensive images or content (swearing, flaming, etc). No images showing the other user's IP Address, ISP, OS info, etc. No images of excessive file size - just bear those with slower connections in mind and keep it sensible. No links that will give you something from a user clicking it. For example, real world money or more troops in a game of some kind. No links that will log a user out of this forum. The most common signature violation is exceeding the size limit:
550 x 150 pixels is the size, and your total signature (all images and text) should not be larger than that.
Note: wrapping text going wider than 550 pixels is fine, as long as it's not going to wrap beyond 150 pixels high at a resolution of 800x600. Common sense should be applied here!
Any signature violating these signature rules will be removed.
The moderator will leave a short notification in the signature, but you may not be contacted by PM.
If you persistently cause trouble with your signature, your may receive warnings or your right to edit your profile may simply be removed.
